Job summary

Carleton College seeks a Program Manager for Community and Civic Engagement to oversee a portfolio of campus and community engagement programs within the CCCE. The role entails supervising student leaders, coordinating the Lighten Up fundraising event with diverse stakeholders, and ensuring ethical, high-impact programming.

You will also manage ASB, summer internships, and center-wide operations, driving collaboration across staff and partners while maintaining a strong safety and risk framework.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required and at least 3 years of full-time related professional experience.
• Experience coaching, mentoring, or supervising adolescents/young adults/college students.
• Strong collaborative leadership and ethical understanding of community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Supervise two student fellow cohorts and related community volunteer programs (40%).
• Advise students on ethics, project management, and best practices in programming.
• Organize Lighten Up fundraising program with broad campus and community coordination (30%).
• Budget oversight of approximately $40,000 per year and manage logistics for donations (50k lbs).
• Lead the Alternative Spring Break program (10%).
• Coordinate Summer Internships with CCCE and Career Center partners (10%).
• Support center-wide operations and cross-cutting initiatives (10%).
• Move, lift up to 50 lbs and drive campus vehicles as needed.
