Job summary

The Center for Civil Dialogue and Civic Engagement at UW-La Crosse seeks a Program Manager to lead daily operations, develop and implement educational programming, and collaborate with student groups and campus partners to foster belonging and cross-cultural understanding.

Reporting to the Director, this role oversees budgets, events, assessments, and staff supervision, contributing to campus climate initiatives and continuous program improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, sociology, ethnic & racial studies, communications, or related field.
• Minimum of 3+ years of demonstrated ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds.
• Experience coordinating large-scale campus events and initiatives, including budgeting and assessment.
• Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to work independently and in a team.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee CDCE website, social media, and marketing materials; support budget planning and financial reports.
• Create educational materials and coordinate programs emphasizing civil dialogue and student success.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and student organizations to design campus-wide programs.
• Supervise recruitment, training, and performance of student staff; provide mentorship and career readiness support.
