Job summary

The University of Nebraska Omaha is hiring a Program Manager for the Nebraska Leaders Program. This role involves leading day-to-day operations, implementing program strategy, managing budgets and partner relationships, and providing career advising and coaching to students and alumni to foster leadership development and employment retention within Nebraska.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• At least 2 years of program management, career advising, or related experience.
• Master’s degree and program assessment experience preferred.
• Experience in higher education or workforce development is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Nebraska Leaders Program operations including recruitment, marketing, curriculum development, and student advising.
• Provide career advising and coaching focusing on career exploration, resume writing, interview preparation, and job search support.
• Manage relationships with employer partners to expand internships, mentorships, and job opportunities.
• Lead program evaluation through data collection, reporting, and continuous improvement.
• Develop and manage the program budget and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
• Coordinate career events such as career fairs, employer information sessions, and interview preparation programs.
