Job summary

University of Nebraska–Lincoln is seeking a Technical and Engineering Service Manager to develop and lead new engineering programs, structure and implement services for Nebraska industry. You will advise clients, stakeholders, and partners on emerging technologies and best practices to inform decision-making.

You will oversee program strategy and direct a team of project managers, driving ROI through effective leadership and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or closely related field.
• 5 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing or engineering environments.
• Practical expertise in product design, prototyping, 3D scanning, fabrication, tooling, or related production processes.
• Experience with SolidWorks or comparable CAD platforms, and other engineering design software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead new engineering programs and services to support Nebraska industry.
• Advise manufacturing clients, UNL stakeholders, and partners on trends, technologies, and industry best practices.
• Lead the development and execution of technical program strategy for NMEP with cross-functional collaboration.
• Lead, direct, coach, and oversee staff to deliver effective leadership and engagement.
