Traditional elementary schools reduce expectations when students fall behind. Your approach is the opposite. You know a six-year-old can accomplish far more than conventional classrooms demand, and you have used data to demonstrate this repeatedly.

Alpha operates on a two-hour learning framework. Adaptive applications handle academic instruction during morning sessions, freeing your schedule for the work that genuinely transforms a child: motivation, life skills, coaching, and accountability. You directly oversee a cohort of K-3 students while coaching the Guides (Alpha's designation for the adults who coach and inspire children) accountable for their daily advancement. You remain hands‑on daily, not supervising from a remote office.

Your typical day alternates between three activities. You analyze performance data and Coachbot analytics to identify which students and Guides require intervention. You conduct coaching conversations that provide people with a concrete next step rather than general encouragement. And you capture the attention of a room filled with five‑to‑nine-year-olds during a workshop on public speaking, focus, or giving and receiving feedback.

When you identify effective approaches, you document them. The playbooks you create establish the standard every other Guide implements, expanding your influence from one cohort to the entire level. Demonstrating your ability to scale that excellence is the pathway to broader leadership responsibilities here.

What You Will Be Doing

• Coaching Guides and students through performance data analysis, classroom observation, and direct feedback, then maintaining accountability to measurable objectives for both groups
• Leading one-hour live workshops for K-3 students covering life skills including public speaking, focus, collaboration, resilience, accountability, and giving and receiving feedback
• Conducting individual and small‑group motivation sessions that link each child's personal goals and interests to tangible academic advancement
• Developing and refining playbooks that convert your proven practices into repeatable systems other Guides can implement reliably
• Training Guides on these playbooks and demonstrating excellence in facilitation to maintain standards as the team expands

What You Won’t Be Doing

• Providing academic instruction or lecturing from the front of the classroom; adaptive apps handle content delivery while you coach the people
• Reducing expectations when students encounter difficulties
• Managing from a distance the way instructional coaches and principals typically do; you remain embedded with your own cohort every day
• Managing the entire campus's budget, operations, and parent relationships; a Campus Lead handles that so you can concentrate on student and Guide results
• Advocating for traditional teaching methods or adhering to a conventional K-12 curriculum

Basic Requirements

• Willing to work on‑site at an Alpha campus in Austin, TX or Scottsdale (Phoenix), AZ; relocation assistance is available
• Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, Organizational Leadership, Child Development, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years working with elementary-aged children (approximately ages 5 to 9)
• Experience managing a team of 5 or more people, including authority to hire and remove people based on performance results
• Experience building, launching, or substantially growing a program, team, school, or initiative from inception, not taking over an existing one
• Comfortable working in a school that rejects traditional teaching approaches
• Legally authorized to work in the United States

Nice-to-have Requirements

• Master's degree in a related field
• Proven track record using metrics, dashboards, or analytics to identify problems and drive measurable improvement
• Experience coaching or managing other adults toward measurable results, not just performing the work yourself
• Background in youth development, camp leadership, competitive coaching, tutoring, or enrichment programs where motivation was essential
• Confidence and skill facilitating or public speaking before rooms full of young children
