Ladders is seeking a Program Manager - AI Governance to lead the governance framework across the organization, focusing on regulated operations and practical risk management. You will own AI use-case lifecycle from intake through retirement, ensuring clear decision rights and control requirements are in place.

Remote role for US-based candidates. You will collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and other teams to promote responsible AI adoption while maintaining strong oversight and consistency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• 8–10 years of program management experience in governance, risk, compliance, or related control functions.
• Experience establishing governance structures and risk-assessment methodologies in regulated environments.
• Preferred experience in residential mortgage lending or highly regulated consumer finance.
• Demonstrated understanding of AI and machine-learning technologies, sufficient to assess governance implications.

• Lead development and administration of the AI Governance Program using an internal governance framework.
• Maintain the AI governance operating model, including roles, decision rights, and escalation processes.
• Establish and manage the AI use-case lifecycle from intake to retirement.
• Maintain an inventory of AI systems and use cases across various platforms.
• Develop a risk-tiering methodology for evaluating AI use cases based on multiple factors.
• Coordinate reviews and challenges by Legal and Compliance teams.
• Establish AI-specific control requirements and ensure they are effectively implemented.

For our client, we are seeking a Program Manager - AI Governance to join the team of a leader in the Real Estate & Construction space.

This role will shape and run the governance framework for AI use across the organization, with a focus on regulated operations and practical risk management. You will own the lifecycle of AI use cases from intake through retirement, ensuring clear decision rights, escalation paths, and control requirements are in place. In close partnership with Legal, Compliance, and other subject-matter teams, you will help the business adopt AI responsibly while maintaining strong oversight and consistency.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $112,400 – $149,800 annually
