You will partner with product, engineering, and cross-functional teams to shape technical direction and deliver high-impact AI systems.

The role emphasizes building a strong team culture, advancing AI infrastructure vision, and overseeing GPU training and cloud-based scale. Remote-eligible with US-based candidates preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in CS/AI/EE or related field with significant AI/ML experience.
• 8+ years in AI/ML, or 6+ years with a Master's degree.
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing teams.
• 5+ years of experience leading an engineering team preferred.
• 7+ years building large-scale ML or GPU training infra on cloud preferred.
• Hands-on distributed training and programming in Python/Go/C++/CUDA preferred.
• Excellent communication to articulate complex AI concepts.

For our client, we are seeking a Director AI Engineering (Remote Eligible) to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.

This leader will guide the strategy and execution of foundational AI engineering efforts that support innovative products and scalable internal capabilities. The role will partner closely with product, engineering, and other cross-functional teams to shape technical direction, evaluate solution options, and ensure reliable delivery of high-impact AI systems. The ideal candidate will also help build a strong team culture while advancing the long-term vision for AI infrastructure and platform performance.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $244,700 – $279,200 annually
