Job Description
MGS has an exciting opportunity for a Program Manager to join our MGS Germantown Manufacturing team.
As a Program Manager, you will manage all corporate projects and correspondence with customers and plant management for MGS Germantown.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for all aspects of a customer's project including tool builds (when sourced as part of the project), qualification, and production.
- Manage both budget and administrative responsibilities on assigned programs.
- Drive execution of projects for the plant product development team (FOT trials through first three complete production runs, cost reduction, alternate material validations).
- Lead program reviews that provide appropriate status, costs, and risk management.
- Report program status to Germantown Plant Management weekly.
- Identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate risk throughout the program lifecycle. Obtain management approval prior to decisions affecting program, cost, and schedule objectives.
- Seek Germantown Plant Management's assistance in resolving schedule and budget issues as they arise.
- Provide leadership to the plant program team, ensuring communication and cooperation, and resolving conflicts.
- Manage product launch into production, coordinating resources for a smooth launch.
- Ensure timely closeout of program phase gates, satisfying customer obligations and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Develop and communicate program metrics and expectations to the plant.
- Lead program improvement activities with specific cost reduction targets.
- Develop understanding of program planning principles, such as BOM and ECO development.
- Understand lean principles and process improvement methodologies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in business or related field.
- 1+ years of program management experience preferred.
- Practical knowledge of MS Project.
- Plastics injection molding background preferred.
- PMP certification preferred.
