About role

Moodys is looking for a Program Manager who will support a long-running, high-visibility program at our Airline client focused on modernizing and transforming baggage recovery systems used by airport agents. This Program Manager will

Own end-to-end client communication with client.
Act as the primary advocate for the delivery team.
Manage:
Risks.
Dependencies across multiple teams.
Serve as the front-facing leader for the program, not just an internal coordinator.
Work closely with offshore teams and engineering managers, without directly managing developers.

Program Background

The team completed a like-for-like rewrite of the client’s legacy baggage recovery system (used when customers report lost bags).
The new system has fully replaced the legacy tool, and all agents are being migrated onto it.
The program is now entering a new phase called “Baggage Revolutionized.”
This phase moves beyond replacement and focuses on process improvement, proactive baggage recovery, and end-to-end lifecycle optimization.
The goal is to identify mishandled baggage earlier and coordinate actions across multiple operational groups.

Team Structure

Team size: ~25–30 people.
Mix: ~75% offshore / ~25% onshore.
Strong, stable engineering team with engineering managers already in place.
The team has deep historical knowledge of the system and domain.
Client is described as complex and not always well-organized, with many dependencies across teams.
Success requires:
Strong executive presence.
Confidence pushing for clarity and decisions.
Comfort navigating ambiguity.
Proactive communication.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The salary for this position ranges from $120,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $130,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Other forms of compensation are offered in the form of medical, vision, and dental benefits.
