Title: Program Manager – Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) Implementation
Work Schedule: 30 hours/week; Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM (Pacific Time)
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Program Manager to support a large-scale Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) implementation for a public sector health organization. This role partners closely with a Senior Project Manager and focuses on organizational change management, internal and external communications, team coordination, and stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage multiple complex, detailed project schedules simultaneously
- Maintain project timelines, milestones, and critical paths
- Monitor and control projects to ensure timely completion
- Identify, escalate, and advise on key project risks and issues
- Collaborate with managers to secure and allocate resources appropriately
- Respond to information requests from vendors and internal stakeholders
- Support funding/grant applications related to project work
- Liaise with technical teams and provide ongoing project support
- Support organizational change management and user acceptance initiatives
- Coordinate and project manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) efforts
- Prepare biweekly project status reports covering activities, resource capacity, risks, and planning updates
- Maintain and update project plans/subprojects based on stakeholder input
- Perform additional project management duties as assigned
Requirements
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification required
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
- Prior government/public sector experience
- Proven project management experience, ideally managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively and independently in a remote/hybrid environment
Preferred (Nice-to-Have)
- Experience with organizational change management in a laboratory or clinical care setting
- Project management experience within laboratory or clinical care environments
- Working knowledge of PMI/PMBOK methodologies
