Job summary

HunaTek is seeking a seasoned Program Manager to lead planning, execution, and evaluation of complex initiatives across federal, state, and local partners. The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, risk mitigation, and policy development to improve efficiency.

The successful candidate will mentor staff, interface with senior leadership and DoD counterparts, and deliver executive briefings. Proficiency with ETMS2 and Microsoft Office Suite is required.

Qualifications

  • US citizenship and ability to obtain Top Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in public administration, business, social science, or a related field.
  • Strong ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and conduct research.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, troubleshoot under pressure, and act as a liaison between the DoD, state, and local agencies. Proficiency with ETMS2 and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to evaluate situations and provide effective solutions.
  • At least 15 years of Federal, state, or private sector experience focused on policy, analytical, program management, research, and high-stakes projects. Preference for National Guard/Mission Assurance experience.
  • Provide professional, technical and program management support for NGB J3/4/7 Operations Directorate.

They analyze performance metrics, mitigate risks, budget processing and oversight, and develop policies to improve efficiency. Key duties include mentoring and advising staff, interfacing senior leadership, delivering executive-level briefings; analyzing performance data, conducting risk assessments, and management of schedules and budgets; creates, refine and recommends policies, procedures, and best practices; provides reports, briefings, and other written products to senior leadership, Government counterparts, and clients.

Enterprise Task Management Software Solution (ETMS2) is modernizing the Department of Defense (DOD) by updating its task management and document routing processes.

Skills And Qualification Required
  • Security: U.S. citizenship. Active (or the ability to obtain and maintain a) Top Secret security clearance.
  • Education: Bachelor’s or higher Degree in public administration, business, social science, or a related field.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and conduct research.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Technical Skills & Knowledge: Strong ability to work independently, troubleshoot under pressure, and act as a liaison between the DoD, state, and local agencies. Proficiency with ETMS2 and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to evaluate situations and provide/create, effective solutions.
  • Experience: At least 15 years of Federal, state, or private sector work experience focused on policy, analytical, program management, research, and work under minimal supervision on high-stakes, sensitive projects. Prefer experience with the National Guard and related experience in Mission Assurance and Mission Assurance-Related Programs and Activities.
  • To provide the necessary level of professional, technical and program management support required to facilitate the overall objectives of the National Guard Bureau’s (NGB) J3/4/7 Operations Directorate.
