Job summary

SMC Ltd is seeking an Associate Director of Program Management to provide strategic and operational leadership for the Program Management organization and ensure successful execution of the customer program portfolio.

The role leads a team, establishes processes, standards and operating practices to deliver complex programs from award through development, tooling, validation, launch and sustaining production, while aligning with customer expectations and SMC quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8–12 years of progressive experience in program management or related fields.
• Experience leading and developing professional Program/Project Management personnel.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-functional programs in regulated environments.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Program Management organization and personnel.
• Establish expectations, priorities and performance standards for the team.
• Provide leadership across the customer program portfolio.
• Ensure tools, processes, information and support are available for programs.
• Establish and maintain standardized program management practices across the company.
• Be a role model for accountability, customer focus and operational excellence.
• Manage risks, issues, and resource constraints; escalate when needed.
• Oversee financial management including budgets, forecasts, and costs.
• Coordinate transitions from development to launch and production.
• Plan for resource and capacity needs; align with functional leaders.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Engineering, Quality, Finance, etc.
