Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Program Lead/System Engineer to oversee system-level requirements and coordinate integration, verification, and user acceptance testing to ensure JWICS operations for DISA customers are fully operational.

You will supervise a team of managers, guide performance reviews and salary considerations, and drive engineering activities from requirements through deployment. Strong PM and SE background in a DoD environment is essential for success.

Qualifications

Active TS/SCI clearance required.
Security+ or SecurityX certification (DoD 8140, Systems Administrator, Intermediate).
Bachelor’s degree with 12–15 years of experience, or Master’s with 10–13 years.
Architecture, design, development, and delivery of data-driven ops in a DoD environment.
2+ years of management and supervisory experience
5+ years of project planning experience
2+ years with Linux/RHEL OS systems
2+ years with Windows Server OS systems
Experience with a highly technical team in a dynamic environment
Strong written and verbal communication with customers, domain experts, engineers and architects
Ability to collaborate across disciplines with varying technical levels

Responsibilities

Perform Leidos supervisory duties for a team of managers leading 14 personnel.
Data gathering, requirements definition, use case development, gap analysis, functional specification, test plans, and design specification.
Execution of engineering activities, requirements analysis, implementation planning, third party coordination, integration and test, documentation, deployment, and system assessment.
Employ Systems Engineering approach for planning, design, execution, and sustainment.
Lead in defining processes for technical platforms, system specifications, input/output and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
Develop and maintain systems engineering documentation and diagrams/models using SE tools.
Identify and manage project task dependencies, risks and mitigations.
Monitor and report technical variances; facilitate resolution of issues affecting product delivery.
Report the technical status of development to assigned leads.
Identify and manage external dependencies.
Estimate level of effort to outline and update project schedules.
