Job summary

Leidos Inc is seeking a Program Lead/System Engineer to oversee system-level requirements, integration, verification, and user acceptance testing for JWICS supporting DISA customers. You will lead a team of managers and coordinate across a highly technical environment to ensure operations meet mission needs.

The role requires an active TS/SCI clearance, DoD experience, and a track record in architecture, design, and delivery of data-driven operations.

Qualifications

Active TS/SCI security clearance.
Security+ or SecurityX certification or equivalent in compliance with DoD 8140 at the Systems Administrator, Intermediate level.
Bachelor's degree with 12-15 years of professional experience, or 10-13 years with a related Master's degree.
Experience in architecture, design, development and delivery of data-driven operations capabilities within a DoD environment.
2+ years of management and supervisory experience.
5+ years of project planning experience.
2+ years with Linux/RHEL OS systems.
2+ years with Windows Server OS systems.
Experience working with a highly technical team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with customer representatives, domain experts, systems engineers and architects.
Ability to collaborate with people from many disciplines with varying technical experience.

Responsibilities

Perform supervisory duties for a team of managers leading 14 personnel and provide guidance on performance feedback, reviews, salary recommendations, corrective actions, and awards.
Data gathering, requirements definition, use case development, gap analysis, functional specification, test plans, and design specification.
Execute engineering activities including requirements analysis, implementation planning, third-party coordination, integration and test, documentation, deployment, and system assessment.
Apply Systems Engineering approach for planning, design, execution, and sustainment.
Lead in defining processes for technical platforms, system specifications, input/output and working parameters for hardware and/or software compatibility.
Develop and maintain systems engineering documentation and diagrams/models using SE tools.
Identify and manage task dependencies, risks, and mitigations.
Collaborate to monitor and report technical variances; facilitate resolution of issues affecting delivery.
Report the technical status of product development to assigned leads regularly.
Identify and manage external dependencies.
Estimate level of effort to outline and update project schedules.
