Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) Virginia is seeking an organized Assistant Program Officer to support community development initiatives, grantmaking activities, and stakeholder engagement across the region.

The role emphasizes coordination of the Financial Opportunity Centers network, partnerships with workforce, housing and economic mobility partners, and delivering capacity-building and technical assistance to strengthen programs and outcomes in Virginia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in nonprofit/community work.
• 2–4 years of community development or program coordination experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital filing systems.

Responsibilities

• Support grantmaking activities and program administration across Virginia.
• Manage partnerships with workforce development, housing, and economic mobility stakeholders.
• Coordinate workshops, trainings, conferences, and TA offerings for partners.
• Monitor grants, reports, and program deliverables with accuracy.
• Collect and analyze data; develop reports, dashboards and grant applications.
• Collaborate with national teams to align with priority initiatives.
• Travel within Virginia and nearby regions for partner engagement.
