Job summary

LISC Virginia is seeking a highly organized Assistant Program Officer to support community development initiatives, grantmaking activities, and stakeholder engagement across the region. This role thrives in a dynamic environment and advances equitable development through strong operational support.

You will manage LISC Virginia's Financial Opportunity Centers network, engage with workforce development and housing partners, and design workshops and technical assistance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, Urban Studies, or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in community development, program coordination, or administrative support.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage LISC Virginia's network of Financial Opportunity Centers and related partners with guidance, training, and capacity-building support.
• Steward relationships with workforce development, housing, and community development partners to advance strategies.
• Plan and implement workshops, conferences, and technical assistance for partners on financial stability and wealth-building initiatives.
• Support grants management, compliance monitoring, reporting, and deliverables for federal, state, and philanthropic initiatives.
• Collaborate with community organizations to strengthen program design, capacity, and impact measurement.
• Collect, analyze, and report program data; develop dashboards and grant applications demonstrating outcomes.
• Travel throughout Virginia and to national activities for partner engagement and knowledge sharing.
