Job summary

Leonardo DRS seeks a Cost/Finance Analyst to support government contracting programs in Frederick, MD. The role analyzes actuals, forecasts remaining work, and ensures cost control across contracts.

You will work with FAR/DFAR, CAS/SOX knowledge, and use CostPoint/Deltek to prepare EACs, BOEs and financial reports, while maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting or related field and at least three years of progressive experience in a government manufacturing environment.
• MA, MS and/or professional certification is highly desirable.
• Working knowledge of the FAR, DFAR, CAS & SOX.
• Understand financial analysis principles and have financial analysis skills.
• Working knowledge of IR&D/B&P/Direct Sell and allowable vs. unallowable costs.
• Strong computer skills (MS Office Suite, MS Project, CostPoint and Deltek).

Responsibilities

• Tracks actuals and commitments against approved funding. Forecasts the remaining work.
• Explains labor, material and subcontract growth. Understands how cost changes affect GM.
• Provides support for the Financial & Program Analysis management functions.
• Supports negotiations with the government, industry prime contractors and foreign customers.
• Conducts analytical studies, monitors trends and interprets results.
