General Dynamics Electric Boat Corp. is seeking a self-driven Program Engineer to provide programmatic and technical oversight focusing on VIRGINIA Class turbine generator sets and Main Propulsion Units.

The role is based in Sunnyvale, CA, at the Northrop Grumman Marine Systems site, with a requirement for a minimum 2-year relocation commitment for internal applicants. You will work closely with Electric Boat and its Supplier to drive schedule integrity, issue resolution, and continuous

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• 1-4 years of experience in manufacturing or test organizations, turbine or control systems.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance from the DoD.

Responsibilities

• Provide programmatic and technical oversight of supplier performance across manufacturing, test and delivery.
• Lead schedule reviews and identify/resolve conflicts and acceleration opportunities.
• Coordinate with supplier leadership to ensure schedule adherence and recovery efforts.
• Develop independent problem and test issue schedules and support root cause analysis.
• Improve site efficiencies, capture lessons learned and communicate across Electric Boat and supplier.
• Report weekly and quarterly supplier performance to the Electric Boat Program Manager.
• Oversee production test readiness and ensure procedures are followed.
