Job summary

ServiceNet's Prospect Meadow Farm is seeking a Vocational Program Director to oversee the vocational training program and farm operations in Hatfield, MA. The role focuses on leadership, program effectiveness, and regulatory compliance to empower trainees through meaningful agricultural work.

The successful candidate will coordinate with staff, ensure safety standards, manage budgets, and engage with families and community partners, reporting to the VP of Vocational Services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in a relevant field such as human services, agriculture, or vocational education.
• Two or more years of experience managing a team in a human services program or equivalent.
• Ability to pass comprehensive background checks (CORI/SORI/OIG/DPPC/Fingerprint).
• Ability to connect with people and a belief in the potential of every individual.
• Excellent communication, computer and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of DDS regulations (115 CMR 7.00) and person-centered planning for vocational services.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee program and vocational training.
• Ensure program effectiveness using best practices in therapeutic vocational training.
• Work with trainees in assessment, goal setting, and planning for guidance and support.
• Oversee day-to-day farm and social enterprise operations.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in services, safety, and agriculture.
• Engage with the community, families, and local organizations as directed by leadership.
• Evaluate the program’s effectiveness and report to the VP of Vocational Services.
• Manage program expenses and communicate any concerns promptly.
• Be prepared to handle emergencies and coordinate with professionals when needed.
• Supervise and support job coaches and staff, including hiring and performance evaluations.
