Job summary

ServiceNet is seeking a dedicated Job Coach for Prospect Meadow Farm in Pittsfield, MA. This part-time role runs Monday–Wednesday–Friday, 8AM–4PM, with hands-on farming, landscaping, and animal care tasks to support vocational services.

Ideal candidates bring experience in human services, comfort with gardening tools, and a valid driver’s license. The position offers a supportive, collaborative work environment and opportunities for growth.

Job Coach. Vocational Services - Prospect Meadow Farm.

Pittsfield, MA.

Part‑time / Monday‑Wednesday‑Friday

8AM - 4PM

Summary

We’re looking for another outstanding “people person” with a background in farming, landscaping and carpentry to be part of our dynamic vocational services program. At Prospect Meadow Farm, everyone is hands‑on—from planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops; to feeding, watering, and grooming the animals; to performing landscaping work at the farm and throughout the community.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside farmhands to coach and support them in various aspects of their daily work.
• Collaborate with other staff on the team to provide the best therapeutic work environment.
• Develop progress notes describing each individual’s contact and how that contact relates to treatment goals.
• Use hand tools, such as shovels, trowels, hoes, shears, and other tools as needed.
• Use power lawnmowers, leaf blowers, and garden clippers and other necessary tools.
• Tilling soil and applying fertilizers; transplanting, weeding, thinning, or pruning crops; cleaning, packing, and loading harvested products.
• Feed and water animals, clean cages and tanks and perform any other necessary clean up.
• Perform grooming such as washing fur, trimming nails and first aid such as attending to minor cuts.
• Perform a variety of tasks necessary to achieve a pleasant and functional outdoor environment. Mow lawns, rake leaves, trim hedges and trees; plant flowers and otherwise ensure that the grounds of the farm are attractive, orderly, and healthy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Experience in the human service, or related field preferred.
• Experience with the use of gardening tools and landscaping machinery.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.
• Ability to physically perform all tasks.
