Job summary

ServiceNet’s Prospect Meadow Farm seeks a Vocational Program Director to lead the farm's vocational training and social enterprise operations in Hatfield, MA. This full-time role oversees staff, trainees, and program budget, ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality outcomes.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, coordinate with the VP of Vocational Services, and drive program effectiveness and community engagement in a nonprofit setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (such as human services, agriculture, or vocational education) preferred.
• Two or more years of experience managing a team in a human services program or equivalent.
• Ability to pass comprehensive background checks (CORI/SORI/OIG/DPPC/Fingerprint).
• Knowledge of regulations applicable to vocational and employment support services.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain required auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee program and vocational training.
• Ensure program is effective and uses best practices in therapeutic vocational training.
• Work directly with trainees in assessment, goal setting and planning for guidance and support.
• Oversee day-to-day farm and related social enterprise operations.
• Ensure farm and social enterprise operations comply with regulations in services provided, safety and agriculture.
• Engage with the community, families of trainees, local organizations and other businesses as directed by VP of Vocational Services.
• Evaluate effectiveness of the vocation training program and provide reports to VP of Vocational Services.
• Manage the program’s expenses and communicate unexpected expenses or concerns promptly.
• Maintain preparedness to handle emergencies with coordination with other professionals.
• Supervise and support job coaches and other staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
