Job summary

You will lead staff, develop marketing materials, manage data systems for APR and USDE reporting, and coordinate with finance on budgets; a Bachelor's degree plus extensive leadership experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Ten (10) years of experience working in education or with youth.
• Five (5) years of experience supervising or managing professional staff.
• Knowledge of best practices in working with low-income and students from first generation backgrounds.
• Knowledge of Academic Achievement Programs.
• Skill in oral and written communication.
• Skill in the use of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace products.
• Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, regulations, and laws.
• Ability to multitask while demonstrating a commitment to customer service.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations, implementation, supervision, and evaluation of all aspects of the Talent Search North program.
• Oversee communication and marketing of the program to schools, students, and parents.
• Report to the Executive Director on program administration and progress.
• Collaborate with administrators in targeted Prince George's County Public Schools to facilitate effective community outreach.
• Promote the program and coordinate public relations, recruitment, and selection of Talent Search participants.
• Provide leadership and monitor program activities, goals, and objectives.
• Supervise program staff.
• Assist with evaluating all aspects of the Talent Search North program.
• Work with the Executive Director to establish and maintain effective relationships with the Prince George's County Board of Education.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director to support program success and high-quality service delivery.
• Develop and implement effective data collection forms and evaluation instruments to assess the program's impact on student persistence, performance, graduation, and postsecondary enrollment.
• Prepare the Annual Performance Report (APR) for review by the Executive Director and submission to USDE.
