This position is responsible for the administration of the Talent Search-Central program, including planning, implementation, supervision of staff members, recruitment, and selection of students. Delivery of approved grant required services, and communication with counseling staff and school administration in selected high schools and middle schools in Prince George's County. Works with the Director of Finance and Administration on budget planning, implementation, accounting, and monthly reporting. Responsible for first level drafting of program grant proposals and budget, and various reports.
The Program Director, Talent Search Central has first-line authority and responsibility for the administration of the Talent Search Central program, including planning, implementation, staff supervision, recruitment and selection of 700 students annually, delivery of approved grant services, and communication with counseling staff and school administrators in targeted Prince George's County Public Schools.
The Program Director is responsible for developing program marketing materials in collaboration with the Executive Director and supervising program activities, including college visits and cultural events. The Program Director will also oversee the development and implementation of a summer Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) immersion program for approximately 50 participants.
The Program Director is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating effective data, documentation, and record-keeping systems to support federal reviews and meet program, federal, and AAP reporting requirements, including the Annual Performance Report (APR) to the U.S. Department of Education (USDE) and internal reports to the Executive Director.
The Program Director will work in collaboration with the Director of Finance and Administration on budget planning, implementation, accounting, and reporting and will meet with the Executive Director as needed. The Program Director is also responsible for the initial drafting of the program grant proposal, budget, and other reports for review by the Executive Director prior to submission to USDE or other appropriate stakeholders.

Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to lift and carry parcels, packages, and other items, walk short distances, and drive a vehicle to deliver and pick up materials.
Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Ten (10) years of experience working in education or with youth. Five (5) years of experience supervising or managing professional staff.
