Job summary

Resolute Rehabilitation at Cornerstone Specialty Hospitals Round Rock is seeking a Program Director to lead the inpatient rehabilitation program. The role oversees staffing, operations, quality and client relations, focused on delivering high-quality patient care.

Based in Round Rock, TX, you will collaborate with medical directors, nurses, therapists and support staff to drive efficiency, budget stewardship and program development.

Responsibilities

• Ensure for program staffing, team supervision, and development
• Promote adherence to policies and practices of applicable professional organizations, client hospital and Lifepoint
• Supervise the development of improved efficiency and productivity of facility/unit clinical/administrative functions
• Communicate and demonstrate a professional image/attitude for patients, families, clients, coworkers and others
• Participate in continuing education/professional development activities
• Assures that all patient care activities are performed according to the company policies and procedures and all applicable state and federal laws and regulatory agencies
• Develop facility/unit operating and capital budget with client institution
• Develop facility/unit operating and capital budget with Lifepoint (not in consultation with client hospital)
• Develops and ensures implementation of a program of professional and community relations in collaboration with client hospital Marketing Department
• Monitor referral/admission process
• Develop and implement program public relations plan
• Maintain positive working relationship with client organization
• Maintain customer service program on unit and in hospital
• Ensures the facility/unit has a comprehensive quality management program

Resolute Rehabilitation at Cornerstone Specialty Hospitals Round Rock is a 12-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit located at 4681 College Park Drive in Round Rock, Texas. It's designed to help patients recover from serious illness, injury, or surgery-especially those transitioning from intensive care.

• Specialized Rehab Services: Offers intensive therapy for conditions like stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, orthopedic trauma, neurological disorders, amputation, and other complex conditions.
• Therapy Intensity: Patients typically receive 15 hours of therapy per week, guided by a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, and therapists.
• Modern Facility: Located on the first floor, the unit is equipped with advanced rehab equipment and designed to support recovery in a focused, patient-centered environment.

How you'll contribute

The incumbent shall be responsible for the total operation of the inpatient rehabilitation program. The incumbent plans, directs and coordinates program activities to ensure that company and client goals are met. The incumbent shall also be accountable for and contribute to program development, quality improvement and problem solving, and productivity enhancement in a flexible interdisciplinary fashion.

Essential Duties:

PROFESSIONAL/LEADERSHIP AREA

1. Ensure for program staffing, team supervision, and development. Team may include roles of Medical Director, Nurse Manager, Therapist, Social Worker, Community Relations Coordinator, Clinical Coordinator, Admissions Coordinator and others as assigned.
