Job summary

Village Behavioral Health seeks a Program Director for Mobile Crisis Services to lead and optimize the Mobile Crisis Response program across office, field, and remote settings with 25% travel. You’ll manage operations, staffing, training, documentation, and regulatory compliance to deliver high-quality crisis services.

The role requires 3+ years in crisis intervention and 1+ year in leadership, with a Bachelor's degree and DBHDS-related training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services, psychology, sociology, or related field (or equivalent experience) requested.
• At least 3+ years in behavioral health crisis intervention.
• At least 1+ year in leadership or supervisory roles.
• Experience with Mobile Crisis Response (MCR).
• DBHDS Mobile Crisis Responder training completion preferred.
• Strong knowledge of behavioral health crisis intervention and Virginia DBHDS requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organization and problem-solving abilities.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; clean driving record.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and EHR platforms.

• Collaborate with law enforcement, hospitals, CSBs, and partners.
• Work with leadership to support growth and expansion of the program.

Salary: $72,000 annually + Quarterly Performance-Based Bonus

About the Role

The Program Director - Mobile Crisis Services oversees the daily operations and performance of VBH's Mobile Crisis Response Program. This role is responsible for program compliance, staffing, training, documentation, service delivery, operational improvement, and supporting the continued growth of the program.

What You'll Do

• Lead and support the Mobile Crisis Response team.

• Collaborate with law enforcement, hospitals, regional CSBs, and community partners.
• Work with agency leadership to support program development and expansion.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in human services, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field and/or equivalent relevant experience.
• 3+ years of behavioral health crisis intervention experience.
• 1+ year of behavioral health leadership or supervisory experience.
• Mobile Crisis Response (MCR) experience.
• Completion of DBHDS Mobile Crisis Responder training.
• Strong knowledge of behavioral health crisis intervention and Virginia DBHDS requirements.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and EHR systems.

Preferred:

• QMHP-A, QMHP-C, LMHP, LCSW, LPC, or other applicable behavioral health credential; CARF experience; and experience with EHR platforms.
