About The Role
As a CBRE Program Director, you will manage teams responsible for delivering a portfolio of projects and programs. You will serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Mail & Document Services, Shipping & Receiving, and Document Services, providing industry expertise to create and deliver operational strategic programs and ensure a superior customer experience. Your role involves analyzing, evaluating, creating, and delivering operational plans to provide best-in-class services to clients.
What You’ll Do
- Evaluate scope of work to determine staffing needs for daily operations.
- Create presentation materials outlining methodology and industry knowledge applied to staffing and operational models.
- Utilize cross-functional roles to deliver cost-effective staffing and resource solutions.
- Provide insights on compliance with postal regulations, shipping requirements (IATA/DOT), security screening (CBRNE), safety standards (HAZMAT, PPE), including HAZMAT IATA Lab Services.
- Assess current processes and identify improvements.
- Offer guidance on best practices and industry standards for mail and shipping operations.
- Assist account teams with troubleshooting operational challenges and implementing solutions.
- Supervise staff, monitor training and development, conduct performance evaluations, and manage recruitment during transitions.
- Oversee daily activities, establish work schedules, assign tasks, cross-train staff, and set deadlines.
- Track budgets, explain variances, and record operational data for reporting.
- Act as a point of contact for clients and escalate staffing or delivery issues.
- Support resource allocation, facilitate project review meetings, and develop processes to support client needs.
- Report project statuses to senior management.
- Manage cross-functional projects end-to-end, developing program charters and timelines.
- Manage relationships with internal teams, vendors, and clients to meet deadlines.
- Leverage knowledge across disciplines to improve departmental performance.
- Lead by example, model CBRE RISE values, and negotiate with external partners.
- Identify and resolve complex operational and organizational problems.
- Drive improvements in existing methods, processes, and standards.
- Ask questions and determine root causes to enhance operations.
- Travel up to 50%, including some weekends.
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor's Degree preferred, with 4 years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience totaling 6+ years.
- 4+ years in Mail/Shipping/Logistics and warehouse operations/management.
- 4+ years experience with HazMat, IATA, DOT (including 49 CFR regulations); certifications preferred but must be obtained within 120 days.
- Operational knowledge of material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, dollies) and regulatory compliance.
- Experience in staffing, training, coaching, and performance management.
- Ability to articulate complex concepts clearly across all organizational levels.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Leadership skills to set and achieve targets impacting multiple departments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Excellent organizational skills and inquisitive mindset.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
