Job summary

The Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New York seeks a Program Director to lead the Feeding Our Neighbor’s (FON) program, overseeing food inventory, budget management, and a network of pantries across New York City, Westchester, and the Lower Hudson Valley.

This role drives operations, staff leadership, and community partnerships to ensure safe, efficient distribution and impact on hunger and nutrition throughout the region.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in social services, non-profit management or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in food related inventory management and logistics.
  • Minimum 5 years in a management role; proven ability to manage staff in a high volume, fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the program including 38+ pantries and the Hub operations.
  • Provide oversight and guidance for the SNAP program and case management services.
  • Oversee all warehousing/distribution, ordering, logistics, quality and inventory control and data collection matters for the FON program.
  • Develop and implement operational protocols and procedures to ensure the program’s efficiency and effectiveness to include strategies to improve warehousing and distribution processes, streamline operations and minimize waste and forecasting replenishment and delivery needs.
  • Manage program budget of approximately $5 million, combination of government contracts, foundation grants and private funds.
  • Directly supervise FON Management Team and recruit/train staff and volunteers.
