Job summary

Harvard Kennedy School Executive Education seeks a Program Director to manage an assigned portfolio of 6-8 programs with responsibility for budget, faculty coordination, and participant satisfaction. The role drives delivery excellence, staff coordination, and external partnerships to support leaders globally.

You will lead a delivery and operations team, collaborate with faculty chairs, and ensure robust reporting and continuous improvement across programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus at least 6 years of directly related experience in program management.
• Some supervisory or team management experience required.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Project management experience.
• Demonstrated success in launching, implementing, or improving systems or standard operating procedures.
• Strong team-builder with an ability to build productive relationships and lead work across a diverse organization.
• Skill in managing multiple diverse activities simultaneously, while operating with speed, accuracy, and strong judgment.
• Proven organizational, creative problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Experience with Salesforce and Zoom a plus.
• Experience with Harvard financial systems and processes desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage admissions and enrollment decisions for program portfolio.
• Review and implement marketing and outreach strategies with EE marketing team.
• Lead a delivery team for 6-8 programs with budgeting and staff management.
• Oversee program operations: logistics, faculty relations, curriculum management.
• Negotiate with external vendors and contracts for offsite events.
• Ensure data reporting and program evaluations inform improvements.
• Mentor program staff and promote professional development.
• Maintain professionalism and customer service within the program team.
