Job summary

Cancer Support Community East Tennessee seeks a Program Director to lead clinical and community member–focused programs. You will supervise staff, manage budgets, and ensure program quality and outcomes across services, education, and outreach.

The role emphasizes leadership in psychosocial oncology practices, collaboration with partners, and ongoing program development to meet participant needs in East Tennessee.

Qualifications

• Licensed clinician with Tennessee license in listed fields.
• Minimum three years post-licensure clinical experience.
• Experience facilitating support groups and working with chronically ill individuals.
• Minimum two years supervisory or management experience.
• Strong planning, organizing, scheduling, and reporting skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and public speaking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate all programs and services to ensure they are comprehensive, impactful, relevant, and responsive to participants’ needs.
• Oversee administration, including budgeting, calendars, and resources; ensure compliance with standards andPolicies.
• Direct clinical services: provide counseling, orientations, group support, and crisis intervention as needed.
• Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate clinical staff, presenters, interns, and volunteers; provide weekly clinical consultation.
• Engage community partners, represent CSCET in meetings and conferences, and support grant writing and fundraising activities.
