Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in child development, elementary education, physical education, recreation or a related field preferred.
• New York State Children’s Program Administrator Credential and two years of related experience preferred; or School-Age Child Care Credential with two years of related experience.
• Two years of college with 18 credits in Child Development or related field and two years of direct experience with children under 13, including supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between CPC and stakeholders (funding agencies, school leadership, community members).
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the center to ensure mission-aligned service delivery.
• Hire, train, supervise, and inspire educational staff.
• Manage classroom operations and safety procedures; ensure proper enrollment documentation.
• Monitor curriculum resources and provide feedback to align with developmental standards.
• Maintain incident and injury reports and communicate with families.
• Guide staff in documentation and action planning for incidents.
• Attend required trainings and meetings.
