Job summary

The Chinese-American Planning Council (CPC) in New York City is seeking Site Supervisors to support after-school programming for children ages 5-12. You will supervise Activity Specialists, Group Leaders, Youth Counselors, and Volunteers, ensure safety, and foster an inclusive environment.

You will collaborate with school staff, maintain records (attendance, incidents, DYCD Connect), develop lesson plans with Group Leaders, and model CPC’s values while supporting professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Education or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in an early education or school-age setting.
• Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and virtual platforms (e.g., Zoom, Google Classroom).
• Bilingual language skills preferred: Russian, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese), or Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff and volunteers in the afterschool program.
• Ensure health, safety, and well-being of participants.
• Maintain accurate program documentation and attend to records.
• Collaborate with school administration and CPC leadership.
• Develop developmentally appropriate lessons with Group Leaders.
• Promote inclusive, respectful environment and effective parent communication.
