Placements24 is seeking a proactive Program Development Officer to help design, implement, and evaluate community programs in the Western Cape. This hybrid role combines remote work with in-person engagement to advance our charitable mission and ensure sustainable impact.

You will conduct needs assessments, write grant proposals, manage budgets, monitor outcomes, and collaborate with partners to expand successful initiatives and secure diverse funding streams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, or related field.
• 3–5 years in program development, management or fundraising in non-profit contexts.
• Proven grant proposal and reporting experience.
• Strong analytical and research abilities to assess community needs.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, design, and develop new programs aligned with strategic goals.
• Conduct needs assessments and feasibility studies to identify opportunities for expansion.
• Write grant proposals and funding requests to secure support for programs.
• Manage program budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation and compliance.
• Monitor implementation, collect data, and report on progress and outcomes.
• Collaborate with local partners, stakeholders, and beneficiaries for relevance and effectiveness.
