Placements24 is seeking a passionate Community Sports Development Officer to foster participation and development within Paarl. You will design initiatives to engage all ages and abilities, focusing on underserved communities and partnerships with schools, clubs, and organizations.

The role emphasizes community upliftment through accessible physical activity, with responsibilities across program development, funding identification, and impact reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Proven experience in sports development or community program coordination.
• Strong understanding of accessibility for different groups.
• Excellent communication and networking skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic community sports development plans and programs.
• Engage with local schools, sports clubs, and community groups to promote participation and collaboration.
• Organize and deliver sports clinics, workshops, and events to increase engagement and skill development.
• Identify funding opportunities and assist in writing grant applications to support sports initiatives.
• Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, reporting on outcomes and impact.
