Job summary

The San Diego LGBT Community Center is seeking a Program Data Specialist to support Sexual Health and Wellness programs through accurate data entry, database management, and QA. You will assist with scheduling HIV, STI, and hepatitis testing, respond to client inquiries, and help with referrals.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent with 1 year of related experience, strong data skills, and a commitment to client confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent; minimum of one year of related experience.
• Professional Skills: Strong attention to detail; planning and organizational skills; ability to manage data, resolve discrepancies, prioritize tasks, and train staff.
• Personal Skills: Organized, independent, team player, professional communication, confidentiality.
• Technology Skills: MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); learn multiple databases.
• Language Skills: Fluency in English
• Schedule Requirements: Tuesday–Saturday with occasional evenings.

Responsibilities

• Enter program, client, service, testing, outreach, and navigation data accurately.
• Maintain data in Apricot, LEO, HIPO, SPARS, and other databases.
• Conduct routine data quality checks for completeness, accuracy, duplicates, and discrepancies.
• Identify data issues and coordinate timely resolutions with staff.
• Assist with compiling data for internal needs and required documentation.
• Provide staff training and technical assistance on data entry and data quality.
• Maintain organized program records in line with confidentiality policies.
• Assist with scheduling HIV, STI, and hepatitis testing.
• Document client communications and referrals in records and databases.
