Job summary

Dallas College seeks a Program Coordinator to advance Continuing Education and Workforce Development programs. You will work with students, instructors, employers, and community partners to design and deliver high-quality non-credit opportunities that meet workforce needs and student success goals.

You will lead program development, curriculum planning, recruitment of instructors, and coordination of schedules while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in program development, continuing education and workforce development.
  • Knowledge of district policies and procedures.
  • Skilled in program development, evaluation, and curriculum.
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple projects/priorities.
  • Ability to plan and coordinate non-credit classes and programs with internal/external stakeholders.
  • Understand laws and policies as they pertain to educational programs.
  • Ability to make informed decisions after considering options.
  • Proficient in using computer technology to access data, maintain records, and communicate.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates, plans, evaluates, and develops continuing education or workforce courses and programs.
  • Interacts daily with students and serves as a liaison between college, community, company, and sponsored personnel.
  • Reviews and participates in development of class schedules.
  • Analyzes, observes, and evaluates training effectiveness and recruitment of classes offered.
  • Collaborates to develop curricula, syllabi, and handouts; may perform needs assessments.
  • Participates in registration activities for designated program areas.
  • Recruits and orients instructors regarding Dallas College policies and procedures.
  • Coordinates meetings for instructors and identifies possible instructors.
  • Develops handouts, catalogs, brochures, and promotional materials for programs.
  • Maintains records and prepares statistical reports; monitors budget allocations.
  • Coordinates facilities for off-campus operations; provides excellent customer service to clients and students.
  • Recruits and advises potential students to programs.
  • Tracks and evaluates program satisfaction and outcomes for continuation or cancellation.
  • Completes required Dallas College Professional Development training hours.
