Job summary

Sandwichmass in Sandwich, MA is seeking a Recreation Programs Coordinator to develop, implement, and coordinate inclusive community recreation programs and events. You will work with staff and volunteers to meet diverse needs and manage resources.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's Degree in recreation or related field, is CPR certified, familiar with ADA requirements, possesses a valid driver’s license, and demonstrates strong communication and computer skills, energy, and creativity to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in recreation, therapeutic recreation, physical education or an equivalent combination of background and education.
• Must be CPR Certified and be familiar with ADA requirements.
• Candidate must possess a valid driver’s license, be responsible, flexible, have excellent communication skills as well as excellent computer skills, be friendly, high energy, be creative and have the demonstrated ability to relate effectively with people.

Responsibilities

• Assists in developing, implementing and coordinating diverse, inclusive and cost-effective recreational programs and events to meet community needs.
• Researches and adapts new techniques and best practices for program improvements.
• Some evening, weekend and holiday work required
