Job summary

The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc. seeks a Program Coordinator II to support the daily operations of the CLASS Academic Advising Office at the University.

This role manages front desk operations, assists students with check-in and questions, supervises student employees, and provides administrative support to the advising team. Description:

Coordinates and provides senior-level administrative support toan ongoing program at the University.

  1. 1. Coordinates program to ensure that implementation and prescribedactivities are carried out in accordance with specifiedobjectives.
  2. 2. Participates in planning and develops methods for programimplementation and administration, coordinates program activitiesand processes.
  3. 3. Reviews program records and reports of activities.
  4. 4. Recommends modifications to methods or procedures asrequired.
  5. 5. Prepares recurring and ad hoc program reports for managementuse.
  6. 6. Assists in preparing reports, proposals, manuals, and otherdocumentation as required for the program.
  7. 7. Participates in budget planning and is responsible forcontrolling expenditures in accordance with budget allocations forthe program.
  8. 8. Conducts formal training or gives instruction regarding programpolicies and procedures.
  9. 9. Interacts with faculty, staff and students to promote the goalsand objectives of the program.
  10. 10. Develops and maintains database on research studies, policyissues, etc.
  11. 11. Performs other job-related duties as required.

The Program Coordinator II supports the daily operations of theCLASS Academic Advising Office. This position manages front deskoperations, assists students with advising check-in and generalquestions, supervises student employees, and providesadministrative support to the academic advising team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily front desk operations and provide welcoming,professional service to students and visitors.
  • Check students in for advising appointments and direct studentsto appropriate advisors, departments, or universityresources.

  • Supervise, train, schedule, and provide daily work direction tostudent employees.
  • Process academic paperwork, including change of major requests,minor petitions, and other student forms.
  • Assist with advising office communications, scheduling, andadministrative projects.
  • Support high-volume advising activities, including registration,orientation, and graduation periods.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student information and comply withFERPA requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of CLASS AcademicAdvising.

Experience will be considered in lieu ofeducation.

Education will be considered in lieu ofexperience.

MQ: Education: Requires the ability and knowledge for analysis andinterpretation of procedures, policies and practices attainablethrough specific education and/or training programs in a specialtyor technical field. Advanced vocational or electronic skills or abasic knowledge of a professional field is required. An Associate'sdegree or certification/licensing in a technical specialty programof over 18 months and up to 3 years duration are characteristic ofthis field. Experience: Requires a minimum of one (1) year ofdirectly job-related experience.
