Job summary

Plan International USA is seeking a Program Coordinator to provide coordination, program management, and administrative support across proposal development and project implementation lifecycle. The role supports institutional and private philanthropic funding opportunities and collaborates with Proposal Managers and program teams in U.S.

and global offices. This is a hybrid role based in the United States, preferring the Washington, DC metro region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• 1–2 years of professional experience in proposal development, business development, grants, program coordination, or a related field.
• Familiarity with institutional donor proposal processes (USAID, foundations, etc.) is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to coordinate effectively across teams, time zones, and cultures.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate program management activities across proposals and projects.
• Support budgets, invoices, and financial reports with the Senior Program Manager.
• Maintain budget projection trackers and coordinate data entry from Country Offices and the U.S. home office.
• Serve as a day-to-day liaison to Country Offices and escalate complex matters as needed.
• Maintain organized project files and documentation for funding and records.
• Coordinate start-up and close-out activities and timely submission of deliverables.
• Support quarterly and annual narrative reports and other deliverables.
• Coordinate with grants, finance, technical, and program colleagues to address questions.
