Job summary

The University of Wyoming's Global Engagement Office seeks a Program Coordinator to welcome international students, faculty, and visiting delegations. The role involves coordinating logistics for global partnerships, travel, and hosted events to advance UW's international footprint.

You will plan, supervise, and coordinate operations across programs, advise students and staff, manage budgets and reporting, and support senior academic leaders.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Provide project leadership and support admin, operations, and strategic planning for the Global Engagement Office.
  • Serve as primary admin support to the Vice Provost for Global Engagement and liaise with units and external partners.
  • Support planning, coordination, and logistics of international delegations and travel.
  • Coordinate Global Engagement programs, services, events, and visitors to ensure efficient delivery.
  • Research, analyze, and respond to inquiries; prepare reports and documentation for leadership decisions.
  • Interpret policies and assist faculty, staff, students, and external constituents.
  • Assist with development and management of international partnerships and MOUs.
  • Initiate, coordinate, and monitor projects and budget-related activities; maintain records.
  • Hire, train, supervise, and provide leadership to student employees.

JOB TITLE

Program Coordinator

JOB PURPOSE

The Global Engagement Office Program Coordinator plays a key rolein welcoming international students, faculty, and visitingdelegations from around the world, and regularly interacts with aglobally-minded campus community. This position offers the chanceto travel in support of international visits and hosted events,coordinating logistics that bring global partnerships tolife.

The Program Coordinator will assist in the planning, supervision,development and coordination of operations within designatedprograms and across Global Engagement Office operations, advise andcollaborate with students, faculty, and staff, and facilitateopportunities that enhance the global footprint of the Universityof Wyoming.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide project leadership and independently support theadministrative, operational, and strategic planning functions ofthe Global Engagement Office, exercising considerable judgment in coordinating office priorities and initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary administrative support to the Vice Provostfor Global Engagement and act as a liaison among Global Engagementunits, University departments, external partners, and internationalstakeholders.
  • Support the planning, coordination, and logistics ofinternational delegations, including some internationaltravel.
  • Coordinate and administer Global Engagement programs, services,events, international visitors, and special initiatives to ensureefficient delivery of services and successful accomplishment oforganizational goals.
  • Research, analyze, and respond to complex inquiries andsituations; compile and interpret data; prepare reports,correspondence, agreements, and other documentation in support ofoffice operations and leadership decision-making.
  • Interpret and apply University policies, procedures, andregulations; provide guidance to faculty, staff, students, andexternal constituents and make referrals as appropriate.
  • Assist with the development, implementation, and management ofinternational partnerships, agreements, and administrative systems,including recommending improvements to policies, procedures, andoperational practices.
  • Initiate, coordinate, and monitor designated projects andbudget-related activities; maintain records and reporting systemsand support financial and operational accountability within theoffice.
  • Hire, train, supervise, and provide leadership to studentemployees as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor's degree

Experience: 1 year work-related experience

Required licensure, certification, registration or otherrequirements:

Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) compliantwith the Driving for University BusinessSAP.

Experience Evaluation

Minimum experience requirements are evaluated on a full-timeequivalent (FTE) basis. Relevant part-time experience will beprorated based on hours worked. For example, two years working anaverage of 20 hours per week is equivalent to approximately oneyear of full-time experience.

Applicants must include the average hours worked per week for allcurrent and previous positions. Failure to provide this informationmay affect the evaluation of qualifications.
