Job summary

Tower Health, Reading, PA, seeks a Residency/Fellowship Program Coordinator to manage day-to-day administration of ACGME-accredited residency programs and other accrediting bodies. You will support the program director, maintain educational quality, and ensure regulatory compliance across sites.

As a liaison across residency sites and hospital departments, you will coordinate calendars, prepare reports, and handle communications, while gaining insight into patient care and operations at multiple

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Healthcare knowledge/experience preferred.
  • Strong administrative and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day administration of residency training programs.
  • Assist program director and GME office in ensuring educational quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Serve as a liaison between program leadership, residents, fellows, sites, and hospital departments.
  • Provide administrative support including calendar management, reports, and correspondence.
  • Gain knowledge of patient care/operational activities at training sites.
  • Assist in starting new GME programs when needed.

Job Summary

The Residency/Fellowship Program Coordinator (PC):

  • Handles the day-to-day administration of a residency training program accredited by the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and/or other accrediting bodies to include American Society of Health-System Pharmacists ASHP, Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA), Council on Podiatric Medical Education (CPME), The Fellowship Council and/or Non-Accrediting programs.
  • Assists the program director (PD) and/or the Graduate Medical Education office in developing and maintaining the educational quality of the training program and ensuring compliance with ACGME/Non-ACGME accreditation standards and other regulatory requirements.
  • Functions as a liaison between the PD, residents, fellows, the GME Office, participating sites, and other departments within the health system.
  • Provides administrative support for department leadership, calendar management, preparing reports, handling correspondences, reception and answering telephone calls.
  • Possesses knowledge of patient care/operational activities at the various training sites in which their residents/fellows rotate.
  • The PC may be required to assist in the start of new GME programs or other GME programs if needed.
