Salary Range

Up to $51,300/Annualized, commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications.

Job Summary

The Program Coordinator for Faculty Research Development coordinates the day-to-day operation of programs or projects, and administrative functions, exercising independent judgment and decision-making authority as required. This position ensures programs and departmental activities run efficiently, meet goals, and stays within budget while providing administrative, financial, and operational support staff and faculty. This role serves as the liaison between teams and stakeholders, facilitates communication, and supports initiatives that contribute to the department's strategic objectives, success, and growth. exercising independent judgment and authority as required.

Core Responsibilities
  • Coordinates and manages assigned phases of programs, projects, and administrative operations, which may include budget decisions, program selection, staff supervision, future planning, and innovation, to ensure effective resource utilization and the achievement of departmental goals.
  • Proposes, evaluates, and coordinates the implementation of programs, departmental projects, and initiatives by tracking timelines, monitoring progress, and ensuring deliverables align with strategic objectives.
  • Plans, schedules, and coordinates activities for assigned programs and projects, managing calendars, meetings, and logistical arrangements to ensure the seamless coordination of appointments, communications, and program operations.
  • Ensures program needs are met through resource planning, tracking, and management. Resources include talent, supplies, and facilities.
  • Serves as a primary liaison for assigned programs by coordinating information flow, overseeing marketing and communication efforts, disseminating updates, and fostering effective communication among stakeholders.
  • Analyzes and evaluates program and departmental operations, identifying opportunities for improvement and recommending enhancements that promote operational efficiency, effectiveness, and continued alignment with the department's mission and goals.
  • Supports budget development and financial administration by compiling and analyzing data, maintaining financial records, preparing reports, monitoring budget-related activities, and providing timely progress and status reports to program sponsors and other university personnel.
  • Prepares and maintains program reports, supports the development of internal controls, and provides administrative and operational support by creating, reviewing, and proofreading correspondence, presentations, reports, and other program-related documentation.
  • Interacts with university departments, special groups, and external agencies to coordinate
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, Vocational Training, or Apprenticeship in a related field.

  • This position may require the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure per Texas EO-GA-48.

Working Conditions

Physical Demands

This position will work primarily on campus. Travel and parking expenses are the employee’s responsibility.
