About This Opportunity

The Salvation Army is currently looking for a Program Coordinator/ Driver to assist in planning, implementing, and supervising education and other program areas. This position is responsible for training, monitoring, and leading program staff, volunteers, and youth members, ensuring compliance with operational and safety standards.

Location: Burlington, NC

Position Type: Regular Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

  1. Introduce and execute programs safely, positively impacting youth through activities that promote educational outcomes.
  2. Collaborate with leadership to promote youth development across program areas.
  3. Transport youth center members and staff to/from the center and approved activities and events.

What We Are Looking For In You

Bachelor's Degree in business, accounting, or social services from an accredited college or university, plus two (2) years' experience in program management or three (3) years' experience in a youth-serving organization, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

The role requires afternoon, evening, and weekend work as scheduled.

Required Certifications

  • Valid Driver's License (CDL required or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
  • CPR and First Aid certification (must obtain if not already certified)

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Ability to perform physical activities such as standing, walking, bending, and lifting (30-60 lbs.), and to drive safely within community settings. Travel within the community and to off-site events is required.
