**Job Description**

The Lead Dispatcher is a crucial support operations position responsible for ensuring each shuttle run is optimally scheduled and operated daily. The Lead Dispatcher must excel at multi-tasking and handle significant pressure effectively. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential. The Dispatch Team Member is expected to communicate via phone and radio, schedule and dispatch using a computer, and track ridership electronically.

**Job Responsibilities**

  1. Coordinate and process daily and special transportation events.
  2. Communicate needs within this context as required.
  3. Direct and coordinate field transportation operations under the guidance of the Dispatch Assistant Manager.
  4. Respond appropriately to radio and land-line communications.
  5. Collaborate with the Transportation Manager to maximize shuttle productivity.
  6. Train new hires on POS systems, safety protocols, and job responsibilities.
  7. Monitor and document departmental procedures, including radio communication, driver check-in/out, punctuality, reporting, and drug/alcohol testing protocols.
  8. Assign and dispatch vehicles appropriately per event.
  9. Coordinate with other transportation departments to ensure efficient service for guests.
  10. Serve as the first responder during emergencies.
  11. Act as a communication hub during emergencies and perform data entry related to ridership.
  12. Maintain knowledge of environmental policies relevant to the role and ensure policies are posted and understood.
  13. Participate in performance reviews focusing on environmental standards and objectives.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned, understanding that job responsibilities may evolve.
