Via of the Lehigh Valley is hiring an Program Coordinator for our Community Employment Department to provide leadership and supervision to assigned employment staff to attain high quality employment outcomes. As an Program Coordinator you will:
- Provide individualized Job Development, Career Assessment, and Job Coaching services for an assigned number of participants.
- Responsible for the oversight of the completion of all required paperwork and ensuring that funding authorizations are accurate.
- Work closely with funding sources and families to ensure that appropriate services are delivered.
- Provide direct supervision and training to assigned staff based on participants plans and the implementation of the plan including program goals.
- Develop, coordinate, assess and implement individualized support plans (ISP)/treatment or program plans.
- Act as a liaison with internal and external customers such as, individuals, families, team members, county officials and other service providers.
- Responsible for becoming either an agency trainer, investigator, or committee member.
- Conduct performance evaluations for employees who directly report to this position.
Position Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of work experience working directly with individuals with disabilities OR an Associate’s degree or 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university and four (4) years of work experience working directly with individuals with disabilities.
- Minimum one (1) year experience in supervision/management in the human service field preferably working with developmental disabilities is required.
- Experience providing direct services to individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Two (2) years of experience working with individuals with disabilities in community or employment settings is preferred.
- Must have a personal vehicle, valid driver’s license and appropriate vehicle insurance.
- Traveling in the community is required.
- Scheduling flexibility is required. Schedule includes days, some evenings and some weekends.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and exercise good judgment in a fast-paced environment.
