Saint Alphonsus Health System is seeking a compassionate Service Coordinator for the Program for Survivors of Torture in Boise. This role involves providing service coordination, case management, and community outreach to support eligible participants and their families. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the refugee process and experience in case management within a multidisciplinary team.
The Center for Global Health and Healing is hiring for a team-oriented and compassionateService Coordinator for the Program for Survivors of Torture, located in Boise, near the Regional Medical Center!
*This is a grant funded position. The current grant is through October 2027, with the possibility of being renewed. This position does quality for all benefits.
As the Service Coordinator for the Programs for Survivors of Torture (PSOT), you will provide service coordination to eligible participants and their families under the PSOT Program.
The PSOT program works under The Center for Global Health & Healing as an expanded service to the refugee community since 2015.
For survivors and their families, PSOT offers interdisciplinary and integrative services to help address the physical, psychological, social, and spiritual impact that torture and trauma has on the person.
You will be responsible for ongoing, in-person individual case management including:
Facilitating the participant’s needs assessment
Developing an individualized recovery plan
Monitor services in accordance with the wellness plan
Monitoring the plan for positive outcomes
This is a direct patient care position. You will meet with participants either weekly, or at least quarterly face-to-face, via phone or by home visit, this is a large part of the position.
This may include connecting eligible participants with services within the Saint Alphonsus Health System and outside community partners.
You will also be responsible for providing community outreach and information on the program to local stakeholders and for collection of program data and providing that information to the Lead Service Coordinator and Center for Global Health & Healing Manager.
An ideal candidate will have thorough understanding of the current refugee process as it relates to resettlement, healthcare, mental health and broader social services needs.
You will have an in depth understanding, or willingness to learn, of trauma informed, culturally responsive and linguistically appropriate care.
You will also have experience in case management, community outreach, and working in a diverse multidisciplinary team.
This is not a remote position, nor can it work hybrid.

Must possess knowledge normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s degree in social work, clinical counseling, public health, community development or related field, OR two years’ experience (volunteer or paid) in a refugee service provision context and/or experience providing service coordination required.
