Job summary

ASCO, a leading medical society, seeks a data-focused professional to analyze learner outcomes and organize educational data for continuing education activities. You’ll ensure ACCME compliance, build visual summaries, and support accreditation processes within a collaborative CE team.

You will work in a hybrid setup with a primary location at our Alexandria, VA headquarters, contributing to data-driven decisions that advance education programs in cancer care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 2 years of healthcare administration, public health, academic/educational research, data coordination, or program operations.
• Demonstrated experience in data organization, qualitative/quantitative data entry, and basic reporting or data visualization (Excel).

Responsibilities

• Catalogue and analyze qualitative learner outcomes data from educational activities to identify practice gaps and educational needs.
• Compile and organize identified internal and external data sources and draft data summaries, including visualizations for team members.
• Gather and maintain documentation related to educational gaps and activity design for continuing education activities and ensure ACCME compliance.
• Assist in development and maintenance of data tracking systems for CE portfolio metrics and ACCME criteria.
• Use public data about healthcare companies to support ACCME compliance and COI processes.
• Collaborate with CE team on data analysis, feedback coding, and trend identification.
• Leverage AI to streamline data processing and identify education needs themes.
• Partner with CE team to support initiatives and provide technical verification for accreditation needs.

Who we are looking for:

If you are seeking an exciting opportunity to apply your analytical skills through research, data analysis, visualizations, and collaboration within a dynamic team dedicated to advancing education programs.

This position is hybrid with a primary location at our headquarters in Alexandria, VA. The hire must reside in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia and live within 75 miles of our headquarters. We anticipate the hire to be onsite approximately 1-2 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Catalogue and analyze qualitative learner outcomes data from educational activities to identify practice gaps and educational needs in support of needs assessment reporting.
• Compile and organize identified internal and external data sources and draft data summaries, including visualizations for team members to use in development of needs assessment documentation for educational activities.
• Gather and maintain documentation related to educational gaps and activity design for continuing education activities and establish working templates for key criteria to maintain compliance with the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) accreditation requirements.
• Assist in development and maintenance of data tracking systems to monitor key CE portfolio metrics and overall progress toward ACCME commendation criteria.
• Use publicly available data about healthcare companies to support ACCME compliance and the ASCO conflict of interest process, specifically evaluation of products/pipelines and relationships to other content and concepts.
• Collaborate with team members in CE program evaluation data analysis processes, including coding and organizing feedback survey data, identifying trends in qualitative data, and aligning learner feedback with identified educational gaps.
• Leverage AI and other digital tools to streamline raw data processing, identify recurring educational needs themes across CE data, and improve tracking efficiency of data that support the development of needs assessments.
• Partner with the CE team to support team initiatives, customer service needs, participate in CE team projects, and serve as a technical resources for ad-hoc scientific verification and accreditation compliance needs.

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in related field (e.g. social sciences, public health, healthcare administration, etc.) or equivalent years of experience.
• 2 years of professional experience in healthcare administration, public health, academic/educational research, data coordination, or program operations.
• Demonstrated experience in data organization, qualitative/quantitative data entry, and basic reporting or data visualization (e.g., Excel).

Preferred Education and Experience

• Prior exposure to Continuing Medical Education (CME/CE) processes, ACCME accreditation standards, or medical society programming.
• Familiarity with survey data coding, needs assessments, or compliance documentation.
• Demonstrated experience utilizing generative AI tools or digital automation for data processing.
