The role focuses on recruitment and enrollment for academic programs affiliated with LKSOM/TUHS, collaborating with internal teams and external partners, managing data, planning events, and tracking budgets.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement yearly calendar of events and activities aimed at increasing recruitment of students.
  • Coordinate, facilitate, and provide organizational support for various activities, programs, and events.
  • Maintain accurate data entry of all recruitment activities and provide recruitment statistics reports.
  • Assist with data models, reports, and dashboards for data tracking and analysis.
  • Develop and maintain systems to sustain contact with prospective students and target institutions.

The Program Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing the daily operations and activities of a specific program or department. This role ensures that program goals and objectives are met efficiently by coordinating logistics, managing communications, maintaining records, and supporting staff and participants. The Program Coordinator works closely with internal teams and external partners to facilitate smooth program delivery, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with organizational policies and standards.Key responsibilities typically include scheduling and event planning, programs budget tracking, data management, reporting, and providing administrative and operational support to program leadership. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role. This position will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the process of identifying, recruiting and enrolling for all academic programs affiliated with the Lewis Katz School of Medicine and Temple University Health System (LKSOM/TUHS). The Program Coordinator will represent LKSOM/TUHS at conferences, open houses, campus tours, school visits and other recruitment events and will assist in the coordination of these activities as needed.Job Details:* This position requires the following background checks: criminal history review, child abuse clearance and FBI fingerprintingRequired Education and Experience:* Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of experience working in a university setting with experience that can be demonstrated to be applicable to the duties listed in the job description. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.Required Skills and Abilities:*Demonstrated interpersonal skills and advanced understanding, appreciation, awareness, and knowledge of multicultural issues in higher education, as well as sensitivity and commitment to health equity, diversity, and inclusion with the ability to collaborate and interact with multiple constituencies of diverse identities and backgrounds.* Strong knowledge of the principles and practices of student recruitment and admissions.* Ability to build relationships and network with both campus & local community partners.* Demonstrated experience interacting with and establishing interpersonal connections with culturally diverse populations.* Outstanding public relations and customer service skills with the ability to promote recruiting events through a variety of social media outlets.* Excellent verbal and written communication and problem-solving skills.* Strong presentation skills with the ability to develop and deliver engaging and effective public presentations.* Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment.* Must be team-oriented; capable of exercising independent judgment and discretion.* Ability to evaluate effectiveness of current recruitment efforts against targets and benchmarks and recommend alternatives as needed.* Tracking budgets and recruitment/marketing expenditures as needed.* Current, valid, unrestricted driver’s license with the ability to travel to off-site locations that may not be accessible via public transportation required.* Ability to work evening and weekend hours, as required.* Strong knowledge of Microsoft products, particularly Excel and Access; Banner software experience a plus.Essential Duties:* Effective Communication Across All Organizational Campuses.* Maintain professional knowledge in applicable areas by researching recruitment strategies and new trends in the profession as well as participating in professional organizations, workshops and training sessions.* Assume primary responsibility for the development of marketing materials, development and publishing of monthly newsletter and other print media as well as the management of department website and social media.* Develop and implement yearly calendar of events and activities aimed at increasing recruitment of students.* Coordinate, facilitate, and provide organizational support as needed for various activities, programs, and events.* Maintain accurate data entry of all recruitment activities to provide accurate recruitment statistical reports.* Assist with the construction of data models, reports, and dashboards responsible for data tracking and analysis.* Develop and maintain systems that serve to sustain contact with prospective students and target institutions with respective applicants and groups.* Track and report on diverse recruitment metrics, initiatives and activities* Track and report data related to metrics at admission, during training and through graduation.* Track and report LKSOM alumni contact information including residency placement and place of employment.Temple University is committed to a policy of equal opportunity for all in every aspect of its operations, including employment, service, and educational programs.
