Responsibilities

Service Design & Implementation

  • Lead and oversee the delivery of community services, including:
  • Weekly free health clinics offering accessible healthcare to students and families.
  • Dental and vision support initiatives to promote well-being.
  • Immunization access programs to advance preventive health care.
  • Onsite marriage and family therapy services providing counseling and support.
  • Food bank programs addressing food insecurity and nutritional needs.
  • Legal aid services supporting families navigating legal challenges that affect student success.

Strategic Partnership Management

  • Identify, engage, and formalize relationships with local service providers, health systems, insurers (including IEHP), mental health agencies (such as DMCC and Care Solace), and legal organizations.
  • Develop, negotiate, and maintain Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) to define shared objectives, expectations, and performance standards.
  • Monitor and evaluate partner performance to ensure that services meet quality standards and deliver measurable outcomes.

Community Engagement & Relationship Building

  • Establish and maintain trusting relationships with students, families, and community stakeholders.
  • Launch and facilitate a Community School Advisory Council that includes families, staff, students, and community representatives to guide program priorities and continuous improvement.
  • Organize workshops and informational sessions on topics such as the benefits of community schools, effective communication with school staff, and strategies for family engagement.
  • Provide resources that empower families to take an active role in their child’s education and the school community.

Training & Capacity Building

  • Develop and deliver training for staff and partners focused on:
  • Effective and empathetic service delivery practices.
  • Trauma-informed and culturally responsive communication.
  • Collaborative teaming across educators and support staff.
  • Foster a professional environment that encourages learning, reflection, and continuous growth.

Monitoring, Evaluation, and Advocacy

  • Collect and analyze data to assess program effectiveness and inform decision-making.
  • Use findings to identify areas for improvement and implement evidence-based adjustments to services.
  • Prepare reports and updates for school leadership, funders, and community partners.
  • Advocate for policies and resources that expand and sustain comprehensive supports for students and families.

  • Hourly Rate: $40-$45 per hour depending on experience

  • Scheduling and 1:1 or small group instruction that is ideal for teachers who are new, experienced, or returning to the profession.

Qualifications

What we’ll need from you:

  • BA or BS in a related field (psychology, social work, sociology, counseling, community services, etc.) or working towards a masters.
  • Experience designing, coordinating, or managing student and family support services in an educational or community-based setting.
  • Proficiency in partnership development, stakeholder engagement, and MOU management.
  • Familiarity with healthcare systems, insurance programs, and mental health resources.
  • Strong cultural competency and commitment to equity and inclusion.
  • Ability to apply data-driven approaches to program evaluation and continuous improvement.
