Major/Essential Functions
  • Work in partnership with the Julia Jones Matthews School ofPopulation and Public Health (JJMSPPH) Office of the Dean in thedevelopment of an operational launching plan of a new academicprogram within an established school at the TTUHSC.
  • Work in close collaboration with the TTUHSC Registrar, TTUHSCOffice of Enrollment Management, and TTUHSC Office of StudentAffairs on developing processes in supporting new incoming as wellas ongoing student needs.
  • Collaborate with TTUHSC and JJMSPPH staff on enrollmentmanagement processes for all applicants, including but not limitedto, transition of applicants to enrolled students and later toalumni.
  • Coordination of all aspects of enrolled student files,including but not limited to the development and maintainingdatabase information for all undergraduate students, as well asfunctions of progressions, leave of absence requests, withdrawals,grade change requests, course enrollment, and other dutiesappropriate to position.
  • Assist in the development of marketing materials and outreachstrategies to the academic program and increase enrollment.
  • Provide ongoing quality review for improvements and work incollaboration with faculty in the development of strategies withrecommendations.
  • Work in collaboration with faculty and institutional divisionson the development and implementation of a face-to-face orientationto all new incoming students.
  • Responsible for enforcement of university and institutionalpolicies as well as internal student policies.
  • Coordinate student advising and degree audits. Assist inmanagement of student community projects and practiceexperiences.
  • Partner with recruitment staff on the development andimplementation of an annual recruitment plan to include but notlimited to high school and community college job fairs, communityorganization to promote the program and other events as deemedappropriate.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Proven experience in program coordination or projectmanagement, preferably in higher education.
  • Experienced with general office procedures, higher educationstudent enrollment oversight, and advising prospectivestudents.
  • Experienced in organizational skills and attention to detailwith the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience working collaboratively in a team-orientatedenvironment.

Visa Information

TTUHSC, at its sole discretion, may initiate new H-1B I-129 visa petitions in accordance with the directive issued by Governor Abbott. Approval from the Texas Workforce Commission is required. On a limited, case-by-case basis, the institution may also sponsor eligible individuals for change-of-status or change-of-employer petitions for qualifying positions.
