Charlestown by Erickson Senior Living in Catonsville, Maryland is seeking an Activities Assistant for a 20-hour-per-week schedule. Responsibilities include facilitating programs for residents, escorting them on group trips, and collaborating with staff to deliver engaging activities.

Qualifications include at least 1 year in geriatric care and prior experience leading groups; flexibility for weekends/evenings is required.

Competenze

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with the geriatric population or related fields.
• Experience as an Activities Assistant in a licensed health care facility preferred.
• Experience leading groups with varying levels of independence preferred.
• Flexible work schedule, including weekends and evenings, required.

Monday 8:30am - 5pm, Tuesday 8:30am - 12pm, Wednesday 8:30am - 12pm & Thursday 8:30am - 12pm

Compensation: Rate ranges from $16.00 - $20.00 per hour. Based upon years of experience.

How you will make an impact

What you will need

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with the geriatric population or in related professional fields (e.g., educators, social workers, rehab professionals); education may substitute for experience
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Activities Assistant in a licensed health care facility or related experience through college coursework and internships is preferred
• Experience leading groups with varying levels of physical and cognitive independence is preferred
• Flexible work schedule, including weekends and evenings, is required
